Please join us at our annual Gala to celebrate the 72nd season of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra. The Gala will take place on Friday, March 9, 2012, at The Union League in Philadelphia, and will feature PYO’s flagship ensemble, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, as well as an art show and sale of works by artists from Studio Incamminati. The Gala is PYO’s signature fundraising event and we would be honored to have your participation and financial support.
PYO’s mission is several-fold: to educate young instrumentalists; share its musical vision with the public; and train tomorrow’s music and community leaders. As a Gala sponsor, you will join the many generous individuals and companies who help facilitate this mission and support gifted and talented young musicians in the Tri-State region. In the words of a former PYO student:
The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra taught me to “never give up, always strive to do things better, never settle for second best or average and always do things with excellence.”
This season, over 350 students are participating in one or more of the ensembles that fall under the PYO program umbrella. These include two full orchestras, three string orchestras, a brass ensemble, and our after-school program. We invite you to review our complete season schedule.
