Chason, Asher and Daden are talented and ambitious brothers who perform together in the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra. Chason, a freshman at Conestoga High School, has been involved in PYO for four years and his favorite PYO memory is performing at the annual gala. He hopes to attend conservatory for music composition, with ambitions to compose professionally and work in Neuroscience. Chason was recently commissioned to write a solo violin piece by a prominent violinist for an upcoming European tour. Asher and Daden attend Valley Forge Middle School and have been involved with PYO for four and two years, respectively. Asher’s favorite PYO memory is his first holiday concert at St. Mark’s Church in Philadelphia. He wants to pursue an engineering career, which stems from his fascination with the physical sciences and its relation to music and sound. Daden’s favorite PYO memory is his first concert at The Union League of Philadelphia and he aspires to become a commercial pilot, a career path he has already started to explore.
What's it like to be in PYAO with your brothers?
Chason: "Being involved with both of my brothers in PYO
is actually quite a novelty. It is probably the one and only
place at this point in time when we are all focused on the same
endeavor. It will leave fond memories!"
Asher: "Being involved with both of my brothers in PYO is
great. We have opportunities to rehearse together (when we're
not arguing) which can actually be fun."
Daden: "Although I can listen to recordings of pieces, it is more
helpful at times to have input from both Chason and Asher
based on their individual parts and experience. I work closely
with Chason on my rhythm and timing."
