Colleen Hood is active in the Philadelphia music scene as a performer, administrator, and librarian. She is currently the General Manager of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra, as well as the Assistant Librarian and Personnel Manager for the Opera Company of Philadelphia. Ms. Hood also serves as the General Manager of the Great Hall Chamber Orchestra of Bryn Mawr College. Previously, she was the Ensembles Manager at the Boyer College of Music and Dance of Temple University. She has performed with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and the Baltimore, Delaware, Haddonfield, and Taipei Symphonies. Librarian internships include those with The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Tanglewood Music Center. She has studied with Julie Gregorian, Bernard Garfield, and Daniel Matsukawa. Ms. Hood holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees, in Bassoon Performance, from Temple University.
