The young musicians of Bravo Brass, PYO Music Institute’s brass ensemble, are preparing for the final performance that will cap off an outstanding 2014-15 Season. The Bravo Brass 12th Annual Festival Concert, entitled Brass Symphonies, will take place on Saturday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m., at Saint Mark’s Church, 1625 Locust Street, Philadelphia.

Under the direction of conductors Paul Bryan, Barry McCommon, and Nicholas Pignataro, the ensemble will perform symphonic works arranged or transcribed for brass ensemble, including pieces by Purcell, Schubert, Beethoven, and Mouret, as well as Eric Ewazen’s Symphony in Brass.

Maestro Bryan could not be more proud of this student ensemble and their accomplishments. “This 12th Annual Festival performance represents the culmination of our students’ hard work and their dedication to the pursuit of musical excellence,” Bryan explains. “We look forward to sharing their talents with our audience members.”
