Music Director Louis Scaglione conducts the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra in a concert serving as the centerpiece of an evening celebrating the orchestra's 66th season on Friday, March 24, in Lincoln Hall at The Union League of Philadelphia. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m.

Gala events of the evening, organized by the Gala Committee of the orchestra's Advisory Board, include a pre-concert reception and silent auction, dinner following the concert, and Latin music and dancing to conclude the evening. All events will be held at and catered by The Union League. Individual tickets for the evening are $200.  The Annual Anniversary Gala is one of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra's primary fundraising events.

The Gala Concert program will open with Rossini's Overture to William Tell, followed by Bizet's Carmen Suite No. 1 and Dello Joio's Variations, Chaconne, e Finale.

The Gala is generously sponsored by Citizens Bank, McShane Enterprises, Inc., BPG Properties, Ltd., and The Haverford Trust Company. The evening's festivities are organized and presented by the Gala Committee of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Advisory Board. This committee of intrepid volunteers includes Co-Chairs Kathryn Warhol and Elizabeth Albert, as well as Dr. Trude Haecker, Donna Cochran Lackey, Megan Nicoletti, Holly T. Reynolds, and Deborah Webster.
