Two Examples:
Brian Antar (PYO, violin) is a freshman at the Haverford School. He is a member of the Main Line Youth Chamber Orchestra and served as assistant concertmaster. He is also concertmaster of Haverford School Advanced Orchestra, and performs in their Glee Club as a Tenor II. In 2001, he performed a solo at The White House. Brian is an honor student and won the National Latin Exam Award - maxima cum laude. He is also on the junior varsity cross-country team. This summer he plans to attend Oxford University academic program and the Luzerne Music Camp.

Lindsay Kugler (PYO, viola) is a senior at Haddonfield Memorial High School. She plays with the Sounds of Silk Quartet and Con Brio Trio and teaches piano. In 2003, Lindsay placed fourth chair in All-Eastern Youth Orchestra and National Youth Orchestra. For four years she has been named Most Valuable Musician in her school orchestra. She belongs to National Honor Society, French Honor Society, French Club, and Math Club, plays piano for school musicals, volunteers for Possibility Players and the Haddonfield Symphony. She was named a New Jersey Bloustein Scholar and received early acceptance to Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Last summer she attended Columbia's High School Program in Biomedical Engineering (her future major), this summer she will tour with PYO.
